SPRINGFIELD – As part of an ongoing effort to recognize influential women in Illinois during Women’s History Month, State Representative Patrick Windhorst (R-Metropolis) welcomed organizers and participants of the Miss Illinois Heart Pageant Organization.

Rep. Windhorst welcomed organizer Alex Austin, who has worked to raise $85,000 to donate to the Illinois Heart Association since 2020. Rep. Windhorst also worked with Alex Austin to pass House Resolution 126 in the 102nd General Assembly that designates February as Illinois Heart Month.

Rep. Windhorst also introduced Miss Illinois Heart Hannah Stillman, Miss Teen Illinois Heart Ella Horn, Miss Illinois Heart Junior Teen Dariyn Carney, Miss Illinois Heart Pre-Teen Morgan Potts, Miss Illinois Heart Princess Bailey Johnson, and Miss Illinois Heart Junior Princess Mia Davis Miss Illinois Heart to the Illinois House of Representatives during floor action last week.
