CARMI – A man was killed after his truck struck a tree on Illinois 1 at County Road 875 East in White County Tuesday.

White County Sheriff Jordan Weiss says the driver, Steven M. Martin of Herald, died on impact.

It’s unknown at this time what caused the truck to crash. An autopsy will be performed soon.
