GROVETOWN, GA – Mr. Donald Eugene Green, 86, entered into rest on Saturday, April 19, 2025.

Donald was a native of Marion, IL, and graduated from Marion High School. He worked in construction for 40 years for CL Peck Contractors and Matt Construction. He retired in Grovetown, GA, at the age of 65.

Family members, in addition to his wife, Phyllis Green; include his son, Mark Rainbolt (Ella); daughter, Rhonda Kay Saunders (Steve); grandchildren, Margaret Ann Saunders, Stevie Saunders, Jamie Rainbolt, and Alex Rainbolt; brother, Bobby Green; and nephew, Mike Green. He is preceded in death by his parents, Aaron and Nellie Green; and brothers, Billy and Tommy Green.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at 4 p.m., in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Tom Kalliokoski officiating. 

Entombment will be at Coal Bank Springs Cemetery in Marion, IL, on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at 1 p.m. Family and friends are asked to go directly to the cemetery. Local arrangements are with the Leffler Funeral Home of Benton, IL.
