MARION – The City of Marion says a water main break was identified earlier this morning on the main service distribution line from the City’s water provider, the Rend Lake Conservancy District. Their crews are actively working to repair the line which is expected to be completed within 24 hours.

The city has enough treated water in storage to provide water without interruption for all of its customers. That stored capacity is expected to last through the repair.

No action from customers is required at this time.

As updates are made available, the city will pass along any necessary information to residents and water customers.
