MARION – Northbound I-57 just south of Marion was shut down for a few hours Monday night due to a semi fire.

Illinois State Police responded to the scene at milepost 49 around 7:30 where they found the semi with trailer fully engulfed in flames.

The semi was disconnected and moved away from the trailer.

All lanes reopened at 12:30 Tuesday morning.

No injuries were reported.
